Problem
With the start of the new fiscal year, a client needed to import new rates for a report to calculate the monthly budget for each product brand.
After importing a large amount of data into a dedicated table, the finance team realized that some changes were needed and asked for my help.
Solution
To make the finance team autonomous and thus speed up these adjustments, I created a new page in the relevant report on Sigma Computing with an input-linked table - populated with the data that had already been imported - where agents could specify a new rate value, if necessary, to replace the existing one.
I then modified the report accordingly to read the values from the view populated in Snowflake from the input table.
